1. Phenomenal Chemistry
  • The Discovery center offers curriculum based workshops which include hands on experiments and demonstrations. Workshops are available for grades K-12. There is a workshop for grade 10 chemistry on Chemical Reactions:
  • Save yourself from boiling cabbage juice and come explore the pH scale at Discovery Centre. How do substances sit along the scale? What are the pitfalls of measurements? We'll even take chemistry's most tedious experiment - the titration - and make it pHenomenal

2. Reactions in Chemistry Video Workshop
  • Reactions in Chemistry is an eight-part workshop for the professional development of high school chemistry and physical science teachers. The workshop blends chemistry content, history, and technological applications with a range of classroom lessons to provide teachers with updated knowledge and new approaches to pedagogy.

3. Conference. Ecolinks 2011 - Teaching soloutions for your classes.
  • The Ecolinks conference is hosted by the Ontario Society for Environmental Education and will be held at Seneca College, King City Campus.
  • This focus of this 3 day conference is to help teachers make connections to the environment in their teaching and is in support of the Ministry of Education's policy mandating that environmental education be taught in all subjects and all grades.
  • Topics of the Ecolinks conference include water, biodiversity, climate change and native studies.
